Emerald Ize

King of the Pirates until a bloody mutiny, a badly wounded James ‘Emerald’ Ize retreats to the island of Pagua, leaving the murderous Blade to take his place.

Although never seen, the presence of Ize on the island makes it the safest in the region and as such attracts the attention of the King of England. Sending his wife and 2 daughters to the island backfires however, as a combination of 2 spoilt Princesses and Blade, desperate to prove himself Ize’s equal, come together.

Cut off from the rest of the world by Blade and his network of Pirates, it is left to Princess Dawn to tempt Emerald Ize out of retirement to rescue her mother and sister.

My only (to date) full length book! Aimed at anyone with a love of Errol Flynn and a bit of swashbuckling, this is an easy read stuffed full of entertaining clichés, and predicable romance – I love it!!

Sometimes the concept comes first. The concept for this was ‘Devils Administrator’. Then, when it comes to secondary characters obviously you have the Grim Reaper and a Vampire. All very simple really. One of my longer stories (almost real book length), it could have probably been even longer and better with a bit more time spent on it, but you know what, I like it as it is, and I hope you do too.

Teenage Angst

And yet…

…others had worked in darkened rooms before and that bothered him. It’s all been done before, he remarked. Even madness has been exploited and explored. My madness would barely draw applause. Therefore I must stay sane, I must see this thing through. Maybe then I’ll see what I am worth, once I eliminate the sympathy card. Let this be a last day to rank among the greatest of last days. All of the farewell parties and grand finales. Tomorrow I will shine brighter than the brightest star!

I cannot possibly think like this…

I must think differently, I must. My favourite songs don’t chart, and only I give my films rave reviews. But I suppose the songwriters must think like me, the screenwriters. They weren’t just made for me alone. Or maybe they were, yes that’s it, I must see them differently…

…Why aren’t I famous?

I shall see you all tomorrow…

I will believe them.

Everyone has an idea in life. Like the one that I had. Only other people call them dreams and get on with their lives.

No-one knew what to expect from the new teacher
No-one expected the new teacher
The suit Sir wore was Sir’s credentials
Perhaps his only credentials, how were we to know?

A loan from the primary school perhaps?

Abbot at the back
Yes? Said Abbot at the back
Get O-ver here
Where?
To the front, Abbot at the back
Beside me

He said he had come to teach us a lesson
And why not?
He was a teacher

F-Grade English
The dregs of society
Such praise from one’s Headmaster
